Evert H. Fredrickson

Evert H. Fredrickson, 83, went home to be with the Lord January 1, 2013.

Born in Clyde, Kansas, he lived most in his life in the Akron area. Evert served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He retired from Goodyear Aerospace in 1989, and was a member of Maranatha Bible Church. Preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Darold, Evert is survived by his wife of 51 years, Donna; son, Eric; daughter, Amy McCrossin; grandchildren, Alex, Cody and Tylor; sister, Sonja (Ewald) Meier; sister-in-law, Ann (Rex) Lowe; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Funeral services Saturday, 11 a.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44312, with Pastor Butch Pursely officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park, where military rites will be conducted by Mogadore VFW Post 8487. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.
