Eva L. Moore, 99, went home to be with her Lord on April 18, 2012.
Born October 19, 1912 in Shippenville, Pa., Eva spent her childhood in St. Petersburg, Pa. before moving to Akron.
She was a Sunday School teacher at First Brethren Church in Ellet for many years and a graduate of the Akron Bible College in 1944. She was a member of the Akron Baptist Temple, active in the Ellet Keenagers and the Akron Baptist Temple Senior Citizens Group. Eva was a housewife enjoying cooking, sewing, and quilting, and took pride in her wonderful vegetable garden.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, John E. Moore; and grandchildren, John and Kevin Sewell; she is survived by her sons, Harold (Ramona), Jeff (Sally) Moore; and daughter, Carole (Leonard) Boden, all of Akron; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, 11 a.m., at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd., Akron, OH 44312, with Chaplain Jim Walter officiating. Entombment will take place at Hillside Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until service time on Saturday.
