Eva N. Cozad

Eva N. Cozad, 104 years, went home to be with the Lord November 23, 2012.

She loved being a housewife and mother. Eva enjoyed growing vegetables in her garden for everyone to eat, knitting and being a caregiver for anyone who needed help. She was a member of the Uniontown United Methodist Church.

Preceded in death by her husband, James Cozad Sr.; son, James Cozad Jr.; granddaughter, Dr. Karen Cozad; and sister, Irene Pixley. She is survived by son, Dick Cozad & special friend, Nancy; daughters, Doris (Gene) Hershberger, Ruth (Ronald) Hurd; grandchildren, Cherrie & Lynne Cozad, their mother, Carol Wells of Green, Brenda, Rick, Rex and Kirk Hershberger of Michigan; Dan Cozad of Norton, Kathy Kolton of Canal Fulton, Christine Dewey of Arcadia, FL., Dena Hurd of Green, and Eric Hurd of Uniontown; 15 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Rose Cozad; and brother, Jay Pixley. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Pebble Creek and Crossroad Hospice.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday 1:00 p.m. at Uniontown United Methodist Church, 13370 Cleveland Avenue NW, Uniontown, Ohio 44685 with Rev. James Nolte officiating. Burial to follow at Uniontown Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the church Wednesday from 12 Noon until service time. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Uniontown United Methodist Church Women’s Organization.
