Esther DeGroff

Esther DeGroff, age 85, passed away on November 23, 2021. Born as the 16th of 17 children in Akron, Ohio to the late Jozsef Kiraly (1894-1964) and Eszter Ambrus (1896-1972), she lived in Lake Helen, Florida. Esther was a homemaker, dedicating her life to raising her family. She enjoyed crocheting, bowling, and spending her time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many great friends. Esther was preceded in death by her first husband, Ralph McLaughlin; second husband, Lawrence DeGroff; and son, Daniel McLaughlin. She is survived by her son, Donald McLaughlin (Kathy); daughters, Laura (Mary) McLaughlin, Darlene (George) Vanhorn, and Lisa (Charles) Zook; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be announced for April 2022. Memorials can be made to the family in the care of Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home to aid in burial costs.
