Ellamae H. Small

Ellamae H. Small, born April 11, 1932, on January 7, 2022 took the Lord’s hand and left with Him. 

She is survived by her husband of 71 years, R. Lee Small of Mogadore, daughter and son-in-law Linda and Bob Vaughn of Akron, son and daughter-in-law Terry and Debbie Small of Akron, daughter-in-law Candy Small of Gastonia, NC, granddaughters April Clemmer and husband Brian, Wendy Masters, Amanda Small, and great-grandchildren Chris and Katelyn Clemmer, R.J. and Matthew Masters, and Enzo and Eva Melio, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sons Ronald and Timothy Small in 2010. 

A Pennsylvania native, Ellamae was the youngest and the last remaining of nine children. A vocalist and musician in her youth, she was an excellent seamstress and gifted cook. However, one of her best talents was the ability to forge and maintain strong friendships with those whose lives she touched throughout the many years and relocations in her life. Those same friends have reached out to her during her illness with expressions of love and support and we are comforted by knowing that she will be sorely missed. Memorials are suggested to be made to Grace Hospice at 3515 Massillon Rd #270, Uniontown, OH 44685. 

Friends and family will be received Saturday, January 15. 2022, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hopkins Lawver UNIONTOWN Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale Street NW (one block NW of the square of 619 & Cleveland Avenue), Uniontown, Ohio 44685. A funeral service will be held immediately after at 1:00 PM with Pastor Dave Schroyer officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Uniontown.
