Elizabeth A. Morneweck, 82, went home to be with the Lord on February 6, 2023.
Born in Akron, she was a lifetime area resident and graduated from Ellet High School. She wore many hats working as a cake decorator, drivers ed instructor, bus driver, church secretary, and homemaker. Elizabeth was a member of Eastern Star and an associate member of Oak Hill Presbyterian Church. She loved to bake and decorate cakes and cookies, play games, and do word searches.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Minnie (Bell) Morgan; husband, Gerald T. Morneweck; grandson, Thomas Morneweck II; siblings, Mildred Folk, Ernest Morgan (Army), William Morgan (Navy), Earl Morgan (Army), Robert Morgan (Army), and Nancy Burgess. She is survived by her sons, Tom (Diana) Morneweck, Roger (Patricia) Morneweck, Shawn Morneweck, Casper (Astrid) Roodzant; grandchildren, Robert (Katrina) Morneweck, Julianne (Kenny) Lambeth, Jana Fuller, Angela (Kevin) Macner, Amanda Morneweck (Tony Kubiak); great-grandchildren, Hutch Morneweck, Ken Neuwirth, Greyson Neuwirth, Emelyn Lambeth, Kennison Lambeth, Brooklyn Goodwin; brother, John Morgan; and sister, Patty Jean Brunn.
Friends and family will be received Monday, February 13th from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. and Tuesday, February 14th from 10 to 11 a.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd. Akron (Ellet), OH 44312. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 14th at 11 a.m. with Pastor Brian Nutt officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Oak Hill Presbyterian Church, 2406 Ardwell Ave. Akron, OH 44312.
