Eleanor F. Billington

Eleanor F. Billington, age 95, went home to be with the Lord on June 25, 2014.

Born in Selbyville, W. Va., she lived in the Akron area most of her life. Eleanor retired from B.F. Goodrich after more than 30 years of service. She was a member of Akron Baptist Temple, and later Reimer Road Baptist Church. Eleanor enjoyed working in her yard with roses and tomato plants. She loved to travel, and especially enjoyed walking along the beach at St. Pete Beach.

Preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Billington; two brothers; and one sister, she is survived by daughter, Shirley Sue McKitrick; granddaughter and husband, Paula and Don Longshore; and nephew, Bruce Halstead.

The family will receive friends Sunday, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44312, where funeral service will be held Monday, 11 a.m. with Pastor Jason Bowman officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
