Edward M. Yonders
Edward M. Yonders, age 80, passed away on June 19, 2019.
Born in Erie, Pa., he lived most of his life in Fairlawn, and the past three years in Hartville. Edward served in the U.S. Army and was an officer in the Artillery Division. He was employed as an International Salesman for the General Electric Company, retiring at age 55. He had many collections, and enjoyed hunting for items to add to his treasures. An avid golfer, Ed enjoyed making an annual trip to Myrtle Beach with his golfing buddies. He was a fan of CNN news, liked taking cruises and was a world traveler. His family describes him as “the most organized person” known to them.
Preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Anna, he is survived by his wife of nearly 58 years, Barbara, who was his childhood sweetheart; sons, Jeffrey and Michael (Debbie); daughters, Debi (Doug) Zarveli and Kristin Lester; five grandchildren, Allan, Alyssa, Dani, Sydney and Taylor; and brother, Tom Yonders of Kentucky.
Private services will be held.
