Edna Mae Schlabach, age 84, went home to be with the Lord on October 15, 2021.
Born in Canton, she lived in Hartville all of her life. Edna was co-founder of Health and Beauty Naturally in Hartville. After selling the business, she was a kitchen designer at Hartville Hardware. After retirement, she managed Ten Thousand Villages in The Hartville Marketplace. Later, she became a beloved nanny to Georgia, Ceci, and Noah. She was a member of The Chapel in Green where she was involved in the Care Ministry. Edna especially loved children and supported several children through Compassion International. She was also well known for her creations which she sold at arts and crafts shows.
Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Aden Schlabach; parents, Roman C. and Mildred Miller; and siblings, Jane, Elton (Sonny), Atlee, and Roman Jr. She is survived by her sons, Ron and Randy; daughter, Ruth Ferwerda; grandchildren, Tim, Jarrod, and Evan Ferwerda; great-grandchildren, Ava, Aden, Brooklyn, Brayden, Bradley, and Ezra Ferwerda; brother, Gary; and sisters, Niva Jean Miller and Elsa Wittmer.

Friends and family will be received Wednesday, October 20th from 4 to 7 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver UNIONTOWN Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale Street NW (one block NW of the square of 619 & Cleveland Avenue), Uniontown, Ohio 44685. An hour of visitation will be held on Thursday, October 21st at 9:30 a.m. with a funeral service starting at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Steve Bucy officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Peace Cemetery in Hartville.
