Edna M. Reed (nee Kurtz) Edna M. Reed, age 102, passed away on May 3, 2016.
Born on July 13, 1913 in Springfield Twp., she lived in Suffield Twp. most of her life. Edna was a member of Springfield Church of the Brethren and the Craftsman Boat Club. She enjoyed spending time with her family in the outdoors, especially boating.
Preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Linton Reed; brothers, Walter and Elmer; and sisters, Hazel, Grace and Phyllis, Edna is survived by her son, Arnold W. Reed Sr.; grandchildren, Arnold W. Reed Jr., Jackie McDonald and Tonya Adair; great-grandson, Nicholas McDonald; brothers, Milton and Cletus Kurtz; sisters, Helen Burley and Betty Cline; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Friday, 12 noon at Springfield Church of the Brethren, 3500 Albrecht Avenue, Akron, Ohio 44312 with Pastor Alan E. Brumbaugh officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Mogadore. Friends may call at the church from 10 a.m. until service time on Friday. The family suggests memorials to her church.
