Duane Lance

Duane Lance, age 73, went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly on June 29, 2015. 

Born in Akron, he lived in the area all of his life. Duane enjoyed going out to restaurants for dinner and liked listening to music, but his greatest joy in life was eating apple pie! Duane was a resident at Shepherd’s Gate Assisted Living in Hartville, where he received exceptional care. His family would like to thank Sherry Domer and Christie Engle who were his loving caregivers. 

Preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Rowena; he is survived by cousins, Elaine Swartz, Margie Arnold and numerous other cousins and friends. 

Family and friends will be received from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Thursday at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron, Ohio 44312, where funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. Pamela Gable officiating. Interment will take place at Rose Hill Burial Park.
