Dow O. Wolfe

Dow O. Wolfe, Sr., 89, passed away March 29, 2012.

Born in Columbus, Ohio, Mr. Wolfe lived in Mogadore for over 50 years. He was employed as a sheet metal foreman with Local #33, and retired from Summit Sheet Metal. Dow served in the Coast Guard, and was a life member of Mogadore V.F.W. Post 8487, where he was the former post commander.

Preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Lillian "Eloise" Wolfe; son, Dow Wolfe Jr.; and brothers, Bill and Charlie; he is survived by son, John (Magaly) Wolfe of Cuyahoga Falls; daughter, Christine (David) Kuhl of Seattle, Wash.l grandchildren, Kathlee, Dow III, Jason, Brandy, Rosalie, and Rebecca; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Ralph Wolfe of Georgia and Clifford (Joan) Wolfe of Oklahoma; sister, Beverly (Paul) Newell of Akron; daughter-in-law Kathryn Wolfe of N. Carolina; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held Friday, 11 a.m., at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 34 S. Cleveland Ave., MOGADORE, OH 44260, with Pastor Ken Gifford officiating.  Inurnment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery, where military rites will be conducted by Mogadore V.F.W. Post 8487.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday.  Memorial donations may be made in Dow’s name to Mogadore V.F.W. Post 8487, 385 Randolph Rd., Mogadore, OH 44260.
