Douglas L. Yerrick, 73, passed away September 18, 2016.
He was born in Akron, raised in Uniontown where he graduated from Lake High School. Doug lived in Florida for 35 years and recently moved back to the Akron area. He was in sales with Akron Paint and Varnish, a Real Estate Agent, and owner of Acheron Associates. Doug was a fan of the Cleveland Browns, Cavs and the Miami Hurricanes. Doug was a lover of music, especially Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash. His wife, children and grandchildren were the greatest joy of his life.
Preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Jeanette; and son, Andrew. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lou; son, Jon (Jeanette Nativio); daughter, Beverly (Kent) Evans; grandchildren, Clayton, Katie, Jayne and Stanley; brother, Phil (Elaine) Yerrick; sister, Ann (Jeff) Machamer.
Friends and family will be received 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale Street NW, UNIONTOWN, Ohio 44685 (one block NW of the square of 619 & Cleveland Ave.) Cremation has taken place. Private memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family. The family suggests memorials to the Oak Clinic, 3838 Massillon Road, Ste #360, Route 241, Uniontown, Ohio 44685.
