Dorothy Ann Roberts (nee Nemer)

Dorothy Ann Roberts, 90, went home to be with the Lord on April 13, 2014.

She was born in Akron and was a life resident of the area. Dorothy was baptized at St. Joseph Catholic Church. She retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company after 39 years of dedicated service. She took great pleasure spending time with her grandchildren and family and enjoyed cooking Sunday dinners. Dorothy was an avid gardener and especially loved working with her roses.

Preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, John W.; parents, Joseph and Sadie (Smith) Nemer; one brother; and seven sisters. She is survived by her sons, Jim, Charles (Wanda) and Joseph (Francie); grandchildren, Jason (Amanda), Jeffrey (Jen), Jeremy (Melissa); great grandchildren, Andrew, Alexis, Callie and Camryn; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. The Roberts family would like to thank the staff at Altercare of Hartville for their loving care of Dorothy.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and 10-11 a.m. Thursday at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale Street NW, UNIONTOWN, Ohio 44685 (one block NW of the square of 619 & Cleveland Ave.), where funeral services will be held Thursday 11:00 a.m. Deacon Dennis Smith will officiate. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
