Dorothy Kapity

Dorothy Kapity, 96 years, passed away May 10, 2013.

Born in Cincinnati, Dorothy wrote many poems that were published in The Golden Poet Society and is listed in Who’s Who in Poetry. She retired from B.F. Goodrich after 33 years; was a member of Billow Chapter #483 O.E.S. and Springfield Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by four brothers and one sister; she is survived by her brother Michael (Elois); sister-in-law, Ruth; many nieces and nephews; and dear friend, Mary Jane Skitt.

Funeral service Monday, 3 p.m., at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 34 S. Cleveland Ave. (Rt. 532), MOGADORE, Ohio 44260 with Chaplain Dan Tayman officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, from 2 to 3 p.m. Private interment at Woods Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Crossroads Hospice, 10810 E. 45th St., Suite 300, Tulsa, OK 74146.
