Dorene M. Hartong

Dorene M. Hartong, age 95, went home to be with Jesus on January 22, 2021. Dorene was born in Green and lived in Green all her life. She graduated from Greensburg High School. Dorene was a homemaker and a farmer’s wife for 72 years. She was a member of Maranatha Bible Church. Dorene’s interests were farming alongside her husband. She enjoyed ABF at church, Farm Council, cooking, and gardening. Dorene was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Margaret Hook; sister and brother-in-law, Marybelle and Glenn Hawk; brothers-in-law, Richard Benton and Wayne Robinson. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Dean; son, Dennis (Ann); daughters, Debbie (Jerry) and Diane (Jim); many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Annabel Robinson and Glenna Benton. A funeral service will be held Monday, January 25, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at the Maranatha Bible Church. Masks will be mandated along with social distancing.
