Donna "Joanne" White

Donna “Joanne” White, age 85, passed away on December 20, 2013.

Born in Greentown, she lived in the area all of her life. Joanne enjoyed traveling, spending time at the Springfield Senior Center, and playing bingo. She was known as “Grandma” to everyone. Joanne was a member of Billow Chapter #483 Order of Eastern Star.

Preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Dorothy Smith; and husband, Bill, she is survived by son, Charles “Rick” (Sara); grandchildren, Lynn (Mike) Bolender and Robyn (Eric) Olds; great-grandchildren, Justin, Adam, Mallory, Alec and Zach; and sister, Lois (Harry) Weirath.

Funeral service will be held Friday, 11 a.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44312 with Rev. Richard W. Ferris officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, and from 10 a.m. until service time Friday.
