Donald L. Keener

Donald L. Keener, age 85, passed away into the arms of his Lord and Savior on May 15, 2017. Mr. Keener was a life resident of Mogadore and served in the U.S. Army. He was a kind and generous man who always put his family first. Don was an avid sports fan and a lifelong Wildcat’s fan. He was adored and deeply loved by his daughter and grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Nancy and daughter, Leigh Long, he is survived by his daughter, Laura; grandchildren, Timothy Felts, Katie (Dave) Buchanan, Mark Long Jr. and Joseph Long; and son-in-law, Mark Long. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, 12 noon in the Memorial Chapel at The Chapel – Akron Campus, 135 Fir Hill, Akron, OH 44304, with Pastor Bob Schneider officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church on Friday, from 11 a.m. to 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to IBH, 3445 S.
