Denny Crouso, age 74, passed away on December 31, 2021.
Denny was born on February 8, 1947 to Densel and Beulah (Bittner) Crouso. Denny was a lifetime resident of Ellet and retired from working for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. He was stationed for most of his tenure with ODNR at Portage Lakes State Park.
In 1987, Denny was honored with the "Outstanding Conservation Worker of the Year" by the state of Ohio through ODNR. They said the following: "Denny represents dedication, leadership, professionalism, and expertise in the field of conservation work. No doubt it was his love of nature that helped him enjoy the work that he did.
