Dennis Paul “London” Lewis, age 59, passed away on July 29, 2015.
Born in Barberton, he lived in Akron most of his life. Denny was a brave man with a warm heart. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard as an Aviation Survivalman 3rd Class, and was involved in several life-saving rescues. Denny was employed with Brink’s Incorporated for many years. He was an avid collector and had many interests, including classic movies and historical events, and was also a Beatles fan and a lover of animals.
Preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Dawne Lewis; and twin brother, Daniel Lewis, he is survived by brother, Jack Lewis; sister, Delinda (Stephen) Finkel; nephews, Jason and Rick; nieces, Marilyn and Rachael; and sister-in-law, Linda Lewis. Denny’s family would like to extend their thanks to Brink’s Incorporated for their incredible support.
Family and friends will be received Monday, from 4 to 7 p.m., and Tuesday, from 12 to 1 p.m., followed by a 1 p.m. funeral service at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 34 S. Cleveland Avenue (Route 532), MOGADORE, Ohio 44260. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery in Brimfield.
