Dennis Paul “London” Lewis, age 59, passed away on July 29, 2015.
Born in Barberton, he lived in Akron most of his life. Denny was a brave man with a warm heart. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard as an Aviation Survivalman 3rd Class, and was involved in several life-saving rescues. Denny was employed with Brink’s Incorporated for many years. He was an avid collector and had many interests, including classic movies and historical events, and was also a Beatles fan and a lover of animals.
Preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Dawne Lewis; and twin brother, Daniel Lewis, he is survived by brother, Jack Lewis; sister, Delinda (Stephen) Finkel; nephews, Jason and Rick; nieces, Marilyn and Rachael; and sister-in-law, Linda Lewis. Denny’s family would like to extend their thanks to Brink’s Incorporated for their incredible support.
Family and friends will be received Monday, from 4 to 7 p.m., and Tuesday, from 12 to 1 p.m., followed by a 1 p.m. funeral service at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 34 S. Cleveland Avenue (Route 532), MOGADORE, Ohio 44260. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery in Brimfield. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Humane Society of Greater Akron, 7996 Darrow Road, Twinsburg, OH 44087.
