Dennis L. "Denny" Riedinger

Dennis L. “Denny” Riedinger, 59, passed on to his eternal home July 5, 2014.

Born in Akron, Ohio, Denny was a lifetime area resident. He graduated from Walsh Jesuit High School and The University of Akron. Denny was employed as an accountant with Saint Gobain for more than 25 years, during which time he travelled worldwide. He was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church and Holy Name Society. Denny was an active member in the IMA, Co-Chairman of the Divorced, Seperated and Widowed Catholics of Greater Akron, and a leader in the Boy Scouts of America. Denny enjoyed using his accounting background to assist these organizations. He enjoyed life and spending time with his family and friends.

Preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Debra; parents, Lee and Betty; Denny is survived by his son, Sean; brother, Tim and his wife, Carolyn, of Hartville; sister, Deb Dunegan (formerly Bookwalter) and her husband, Gary, of Twinsburg; as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44312. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Matthew Catholic Church Thursday, 10 a.m., 2580 Berne Street, Akron, Ohio 44312, with Father Michael Williamson celebrating. Burial will follow at St. Peter of The Fields Catholic Cemetery in Rootstown. The family suggests memorials to the charity of which Denny was most passionate, the ‘Light the Night’ Walk via the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, P.O.
