Deborah P. Edwards

Deborah P. Edwards, 59, passed away February 2, 2013 after a brief illness.

Born in Akron, she lived in the area all of her life, and was employed with J.R. Engineering for 19 years. Deborah loved her family, and was devoted to caring for them. She also had a great fondness for horses.

Preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Ida Laferre; she is survived by her husband of 41 years, Tim; sons, Robbie and Steven (Jamie); and brothers, Floyd (Vicki) and Gary (Elaine). Deborah is also survived by her aunt for whom she had been a caregiver, Dorothy Kates.

Memorial service will be Tuesday, 7 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44312 with Rev. Richard Ferris officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 p.m. until service time Tuesday. Per Deborah’s wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to a charity of your choice.
