David Thomas Pluck I, age 57, passed away on November 8, 2017 as the result of a sudden accident.
A life resident of Akron, Dave enjoyed music, movies, and spending time with his grandkids. He was an honest, hardworking, devoted man who always put his family first.
His family holds on to countless joyful memories with him at backyard barbecues, endless searches at the Hartville Flea Market, visits to the zoo, air shows, and scenic railroad with his grandsons, and simply spending time with him on those Saturday nights when the whole family seemed to naturally gravitate to his house just to be with him and with one another. He will be missed dearly and remembered lovingly.
Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ed; and nephew, J.R., he is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Tina; sons, David II (Jen), Steven (Jenn) and Jacob; grandsons, Arlo and Henry; brothers, Robert II (Beverly) and John Pluck; and sister, Penny (John) Leonard.
Friends and family will be received Monday, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312. Funeral service will follow the visitation at 6 p.m. Monday with Pastor Clyde Fincham officiating. Cremation will take place after the services. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to help defray funeral expenses.
