Dr. David W. Kindelberger, 57, passed away on April 17, 2025.
Born in Wheeling, WV on July 20th, 1967, he was a resident of Uniontown. He graduated from Wheeling Park High School in 1985 and from Duquesne University in 1989. David furthered his education at The University of Michigan where he obtained his Masters of Science in 1991 and later earned his MD from SUNY Downstate in 2002. He was recently employed as the Chief of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Atrius Health in Needham, Mass. Prior to that, he was the Chief of Pathology at Converge Diagnostic Services in Peabody, Mass. and the attending pathologist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. David’s expertise also led him into teaching. He was an associate professor of pathology and laboratory medicine at Boston University and an instructor in pathology at Harvard Medical School. David’s hobbies included photography, traveling, painting, being in nature, cooking, and he was an award winning ballroom dancer.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Lionel and Roseann Kindelberger. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Nikki Kindelberger.
There will be no services at David’s request. There will be a private memorial ceremony in Wheeling, WV where he will be laid to rest in our family plot. We ask that any memorial contributions be made to St. Jude’s Cancer Research Hospital (stjude.org/donate).
