David A. (Dave) Dendinger, 81, passed away October 19, 2014.
He was born in Marion, Ohio and lived in the Akron area most of his life. Dave served in the U.S. Army, retired from Parker Hannifin and was a member of Springfield Fellowship Church where he served on the board. He enjoyed fishing and especially time spent with his grandkids and great grandkids.
Preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Patricia; parents, Charles and Bertha Snay Dendinger; and sister, Sandra Khoury. He is survived by daughters, Kathryn (William) Eglie and Becky Hartman; grandchildren, Jennifer Black, Ashley Brophy, Alisha Hartman; and eight great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron, Ohio 44312 and one hour prior to service time at the church. Funeral services will be held Friday 11 a.m. at Springfield Fellowship Church, 830 Ewart Road, Akron, Ohio 44312 with Rev. O. Homer Burkett officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. The family suggests memorials to his church or Summa Foundation, PO Box 2090, Akron, OH 44398-6153.
