David L. Currey

David L. Currey, 69, went home to be with the Lord October 21, 2012.

He was born in Akron and was a life resident of the area. David served in the U.S. Army, was retired from Electrician’s Local Union #306 and a member of Arlington Memorial Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Janet; sons, Conrad Michael, Kevin Allen and David (Monica) St. John; daughter, Kimberly Belle Currey; step children, Tara (Jim) Feldman and Douglas (Jeannine) Lehman; grandchildren, Josh, Alyssa, Andrea, Jesse, Dylan, Giulianna and Cerafina Currey, Ryan (Amber) Lennon, Dylan Lawson; great granddaughter, Zoe Lennon; brother, Dennis C. Currey of Norman, OK; sisters, Virginia (Paul) Lyden of Ormond Beach, FL., Patty (Joe) Lingvey of Deland, FL., Marion Banks, Palm Coast, FL; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday 11 a.m. at Arlington Memorial Baptist Church, 2330 East Market Street, Akron, Ohio 44312 with Pastor Matthew McDaniel officiating. Burial to follow at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44312 and from 10 a.m. Friday at the church until service time.
