Daniel M. Wartko

Daniel M. Wartko, age 68, passed away June 28, 2022. Dan was quite an athlete as a young man, He was a key player on his high school football, basketball, and baseball teams. Many young, aspiring athletes wished to be as good as Danny Wartko. He followed in his father’s footsteps by working in construction for many years. He had a very strong work ethic, working in the security business until his passing. He lived a simple life, never needing or wanting a big house or flashy car. He was a generous soul giving his time and money to his family and friends. Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Telford and Alma Wartko, and sisters, Pat Knapp and Connie Vlajkovich. He is survived by his siblings, Becky (Kenny) May, Lou Anne (Craig) Welch, Janet Truog, Tony (Sanny) Wartko, Andy (Debby) Wartko; many nieces and nephews; and countless friends. Friends and family will be received Friday, July 1st from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2643 Waterloo Rd. Mogadore, OH 44260. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. with Father Zachary Coulter presiding. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. In honor of Dan, we ask that everyone wear blue, his favorite color.
