Daniel J. Lucas, age 74, passed away on June 29, 2015.
Born in Randolph, he graduated from Randolph High School in 1959 and lived in the Akron area most of his life. Dan entered the Goodyear Apprentice Program for machining, and in 1972 he found his calling training people for the machining industry. He retired from CVCC in 2005. Dan was an avid boater and bowler, and in 1995 he was inducted into the Stark County Bowlers Hall of Fame.
He leaves behind his wife of 52 years, Audrey; daughter, Linda Dent (Terry); sons, Todd (Tonya) and Daniel Jr. (Cindy); and grandchildren, Ally and Caleb.
Family and friends will be received Monday, from 6 to 8 p.m., and Tuesday, from 12 to 1 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron, Ohio 44312, where funeral service will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. with Rev. Richard W. Ferris officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
