Dana Paul Russell

Dana Paul Russell (Lil Russ, Dana Lou), age 33, went home to be with the Lord. He died from mental illness on December 7, 2024. Born in Ravenna, Ohio, Dana lived in Akron. He graduated from Ellet High School. Dana was an employee of the family business for 4 years. He enjoyed spending time with his children, family, and friends. 

Dana was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jack Russell; grandmother, Betty Richeson; uncle, Mark; and aunt, Sandy Russell. He is survived by his son, Lucas Andrew Russell (10); daughter, Aliyah Nicole Russell (6); his parents, Randy and Beverly Russell; sisters, Haley Russell and Tela Mise; girlfriend, Stacey Stephens; special nieces, Rylee, Ellieanna and Kalanie Moore; his dog, Rocky; uncles, Travis Richeson, Scott Russell, Steve and Heather Russell, Thomas Worthington, James and Doris Worthington, Christopher Worthington; cousins, Jamie and Nicollette Russell, John and Felicia Worthington; and many more.

Dana loved all of his family members with all of his heart. He will be so deeply missed, forever and ever.

Visitation will be held Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home in Ellet (547 Canton Rd., Akron, OH 44312) from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., with a service immediately following officiated by Pastor James Massey.
