Born January 18, 1936 in Akron, he served in the United States Marine Corps and retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber. He enjoyed fishing and playing poker with his buddies.
Dale was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Margaret A. Cleckner. He is survived by his children, Jeffrey Cleckner, Kevin Cleckner, Brian Cleckner, and Vicki (Charlie) Adam; stepchildren, Gregory (Mona) Greathouse and Elizabeth (Gaymon) Davis; grandchildren, Lauren Cleckner, Christopher Monroe, Brandon Cleckner, Tylor Cleckner, Danielle Jones, Nickolas Jones, and Tanya Higgins.
Per the family’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services.
