Cynthia J. "Cindy" Perkins

Cynthia J. “Cindy” Perkins, age 61, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 17, 2016. Born in Ironton, Ohio, she had lived in the Akron area since 1970, and graduated from Ellet High School in 1973. Cindy was employed with Omnova Solutions, holding various positions in Human Resources for 40 years. She was a member of Faith Family Church and Calvary Temple, where she had been President of the Women’s Ministry, Sunday school teacher, pianist and Youth Director. Cindy loved spending time with family, hosting pool parties and traveling to the beach, but the greatest joys in her life were her grandkids. Preceded in death by her mother, Vena R. Hayes; and mother-in-law, Derotha Perkins, she is survived by her husband of 25 years, Dennis; son, Justin (Tiffany) Litko; grandchildren, Ashley and Jacob Litko; father, Lindsey T. (Hazel) Hayes; father-in-law, Martin Perkins; sisters, Debra (Cletus) Griffin, Valerie (Dennis) Young and Caroline (Steve) Perkins; sisters-in-law, Cheryl Pryor and Doris Koppes; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, family and friends. Friends and family will be received Monday, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Faith Family Church, 8200 Freedom Avenue NW, North Canton, Ohio 44720. Funeral service will be at Faith Family Church on Tuesday, 10 a.m. with Pastor Chris Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
