Cynthia Y. Hindelang

Cynthia Y. Hindelang, age 55, a woman of uncommon strength, passed away after a long illness on July 24, 2013.

Born in New York, Cynthia graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Akron, obtaining her bachelors and masters degrees in Social Work. She pursued her career as a Social Worker for Summit County Children’s Services. Cynthia loved God and her family. She enjoyed going to church and spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband, Peter in 2008; Cynthia is survived by daughters, Chrystal (Gary) Fannin, Amber (David) Wolverton and Stacie (James) Rowe; grandchildren, Madison, Preston, Emma, Dylan and David; parents, Winifred and Phillip Thomason; brother, David (Brenda) Thomason; and sisters, Melodie (Ron) Primus and Sheila (Rick) Semander.

Funeral service will be Saturday, 2 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 34 S. Cleveland Ave. (Route 532), MOGADORE, Ohio 44260, with Chaplain Megan F. Froehlich officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Randolph. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 noon until service time Saturday.
