Curtis Swartz

Curtis Swartz, age 94, passed away on May 17, 2024. 

Curtis graduated from Mogadore High School and served in the United States Air Force. He retired from Goodyear after several years.

Curtis’s favorite hobby was sitting outside and watching the clouds go by. He enjoyed spending time with friends in Florida and soaking up the sun. Curtis took care of his wife of 52 years, Lola, who had Huntington’s disease for over 30 years of her life. He never left her side. After her passing, he took care of her sister who battled the same disease, he then took care of his brother in law’s mother. He was a care taker most of his life.

Curtis was preceded in death by his wife, Lola Swartz; son, James Swartz; his parents; and his siblings, Gordon and Leonard Swartz and Emily Wright. He is survived by his son, Don Swartz (Robyn); daughter in law, Ruth Swartz; Claudette Chin-who was like a daughter to him; grandchildren, Kathleen and Alison (Don), Crystal and Nicci (James); several great grandchildren; and brother, Gary Swartz.
