Cretora L. Strock

Cretora L. Strock, age 80, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2014, surrounded by her family.

Born in Mogadore, she resided there before moving to Elyria during her working years, retiring from the Elyria School System after many years of service. During retirement, Cretora lived in both Florida and Arizona for several years before returning to Mogadore. She was a member of Mogadore Christian Church and Eastern Star. Cretora enjoyed playing bingo with her fellow members of the Red Hat Society. She took great pride in being independent, but also loved spending time with her family.

Preceded in death by her husband, James in 2003; she is survived by sons, Gerald, David and Eric (Amber); grandchildren, Jeanine, Michelle, Joseph, Blaine and Cortney; and great-grandchildren, Paxton, Emma and Kaia. Cretora’s family would like to thank the staff at Gardens of Western Reserve and Hospice of Summa.

Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 34 S. Cleveland Avenue (Route 532), MOGADORE, Ohio 44260 with Dr. Eugene Higgins officiating. Private inurnment at Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 noon until service time. Memorials are suggested to the Mogadore Fire & Rescue Dept., 135 S.
