Coretha “Jane” Silveous, age 73, went home to be with the Lord on January 25, 2021 after a long, incredibly courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Spencer, W.Va. on October 26, 1947, she lived in Mogadore and New Franklin most of her life. Jane was employed at Edwin Shaw Hospital as a rehabilitation nurse, and at Heartland Behavioral Health as a supervisor. She enjoyed spending time with family, cooking, traveling and laughing. Above all, Jane will be remembered for being incredibly dedicated to her family, especially her children. Extremely loving and selfless when it came to them, she was a devoted, strong-willed matriarch and a great wife.
Preceded in death by her parents, Grant and Betty Epling; daughter, Rebecca “Pickle” Spangler Bolyard; and granddaughter, Macy Jane Bolyard, Jane is survived by her husband of 19 years, Donald Silveous; sons, Jim Sharpless (Suzanne), Doug Sharpless (Wendy), Robert “Bear” Spangler (Shaina) and Cole Silveous; daughter, Jennifer Sharpless (Ted); grandchildren, Grant, Katie, Hope, Kirsten, Josh, Amelia, Abby, Aveona, Vincent and Samantha; great-granddaughter, Ember; sister, Debbie Skeens (Richard); nephew, Ryan; and nieces, Emily and Maggie.
Family and friends will be received Friday, January 29th, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Hopkins Lawver MOGADORE Funeral Home, 34 S. Cleveland Avenue (Route 532), Mogadore, Ohio 44260, where Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 30th. The family suggests memorials to Stewart’s Caring Place, 3501 Ridge Park Drive, Fairlawn, OH 44333.
