Connie Lynn Weiss

Connie Lynn Weiss, 50, joined her mother and father in heaven on April 15, 2012 after a courageous fight with cancer.

Born in Columbus, Ohio, Connie was a very loving mother, grandmother and sister and will be missed by all who knew her. She graduated from Field High School in 1980. One of her favorite past times was spending time with her family and friends. Connie loved cooking her favorite foods, having fun and enjoying life. She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. Connie had many prayer warriors, and her faith in God kept her spirit strong until He called her home.

Preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Stella Shields; she is survived by her children, Heather (Sasha) Djuric, Tiffany Weiss and Joshua Weiss; grandson, Stefan; sister, Tammy (Gary) Curtis; brother, Tom (Beth) Shields; and many nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to everyone who prayed and cared for her.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, 7 p.m., at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd., Akron, OH 44312, with Pastor Matt McLouth officiating.  Private burial will take place at the convenience of the family.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service.  Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Northeast Region, 525 North Broad St., Canfield, OH 44406.
