Clifford W. Drumm, age 90, went home to be with the Lord on July 4, 2017.
Born in Akron, he was a life resident of the area and graduated from Central High School. An Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Drumm retired from The Goodyear Bank after 45 years of service and was a member of Oak Hill Presbyterian Church where he served as a Deacon. After retirement, Clifford enjoyed working at Wingfoot Lake. He volunteered at the Challenge Golf Course at Edwin Shaw Hospital and was a supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project. In his spare time, Clifford enjoyed golfing, traveling and family events.
Preceded in death by his parents, George and Opal Drumm; and brother, Paul; he is survived by his wife of 50 years, Dolores; niece, Brenda (Craig) Devies; nephew, Greg (Traci) Gorby; great-niece and –nephew, Brandon Devies and Julianne (Tim) McMullen; and great-great-nephews, Luke, Mitchell and Jacob.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, 11 a.m. at Oak Hill Presbyterian Church, 2406 Ardwell Avenue, Akron, Ohio 44312. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service Saturday, from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial with military honors will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. The family suggests memorials to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675-8517.
