Cleasy M. "Sunnie" Johnson

“Together Forever” Cleasy M. “Sunnie” Johnson Cleasy M. “Sunnie” Johnson, age 89, went home to be with the Lord on January 19, 2017. Born in Akron, she was a life resident of the area and was a member of Sawyerwood United Methodist Church. Cleasy was employed with Rogers Manufacturing and Macy’s warehouse jewelry department, where she was proud to have achieved perfect attendance for her entire 50 years of employment. Preceded in death by her husband, Bill; parents, William and Mary Johnson; brother, Butch Johnson; and sister, Ruby Johnson, she is survived by her children, Leroy (Patricia) Swinehart, William (Shirley) Swinehart, Vicky (Tami) Johnson and Bret Johnson; grandchildren, Michele (Damon) Ferguson, Julie (Derrek) Taylor, Melanie (Michael) Luke and Jennifer Johnson; great-grandchildren, Andrew, Jairus, Aileena, Avery, Cavan, Kelsey, Alivia and Mychal; brother, Robert (Beverly) Johnson; and sister, Rita Eckel. Funeral service will be Wednesday, 1 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312 with Pastor Barry French officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Akron. Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service.
