Clara L. (nee Bibler) Heimberger Stewart
Clara L. (Clare) Stewart
Our beloved mother, Clara (Clare) Stewart, went to be with the Lord on November 18th after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Akron to George and Clara Bibler on January 3, 1935.
A single mother at a time when it was not common, she worked diligently to raise and support her three children. Her children loved her and listened to her wise council and grew up with great respect for their mom. She met the love of her life, Jerry Stewart, and they married on May 16th, 1981. They enjoyed 12 happy years together before his death in 1993. Clara was employed
for 32 years for AMHA eventually retiring as manager of Wilbeth-Arlington homes. Clara was a faithful member of The Chapel in Akron while residing in Akron area and attended Grace Church of Wooster when she moved to Wooster to be closer to daughter Jodi. She then lived with daughter Sheri of Clermont, Florida who faithfully cared for her mom during her last year of life.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, (Charles Bibler); husband, Jerry Stewart; and son, Jeffrey Heimberger. Clara will be greatly missed by her devoted daughters, Jodi (Ken) Speece and Sheri (Chris) D’Avello. Also surviving are beloved grandchildren, Jason (Rachel) Heimberger, Brandon (Liz) Heimberger, Amanda (Rick) Oliverez, Dr. Ashley (Casey) Harbaugh, Brittany (Trent) Oyer, and Alexandra D’Avello. She was “Gigi” to her nine great grandchildren and was anticipating the January 2017 arrival of two more great granddaughters. She will be greatly missed by other relatives, friends, and her faithful companion “Tinki”.
