Charlie C. Holland, age 85, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2015.
Born in Andalusia, Ala., he lived in Akron all of his adult life. Charlie served in the U.S. Navy and retired from the Leader National Insurance Company after many years of service. He was a member of Oak Hill Presbyterian Church where he was active in the church golf league. Preceded in death by his wife, Patricia, he is survived by sons, Kevin (Geni), Gary (Denise), Charles (Mellonie) and Jim (Jillena); daughters, Karen Holland and Becky (Ken) Rapini; grandchildren, Jennifer, Kevin, Brianne, Nicholas, Michael, Annie, Joseph, Joren, Logan, Dan, Jessica, Steve, Karie and Kiley; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Bobby, Curtis, Vertis, Reese and Randall; and sister, Thelia Bryant. Charlie is also survived by his special friend, Jean Seymour, and his family is very grateful for her love and companionship to their father. Special thanks is extended to the Palliative Care Unit at Akron City Hospital for the care and compassion that was shown to Charlie and his family.
