Charles Burton Simpson

Charles Burton Simpson, 67, a proud veteran of the Marine Corps, passed away peacefully at home on August 16, 2024 after a brave battle with cancer. Born in Akron, OH, Charles was a devoted father to Alicia Simpson and Christopher Simpson and a loving partner to Stacey Fair. He is also survived by his granddaughter, Azriel Simpson; brother, Ray Simpson; sister, Wanda Martin; several nieces and nephews; and Stacey’s children and grandchildren. 

Charles was a jack of all trades and an extremely hard worker who ran his own business and could fix anything. Over the years, he developed many loyal customers who appreciated his integrity, work ethic, and outgoing personality. Charles loved hearing live music, riding his motorcycle, spending time with his family, and relaxing outside in his backyard. Some of his happiest moments were traveling with Stacey, visiting new places, and spending time with his family. His friends and family will greatly miss his warm smile, bear hugs, and positive attitude. 

Charles’ family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the nurses and caregivers with Cleveland Clinic Akron General and the VA who provided such compassionate care to him throughout his illness and at the end of his life.
