GREEN, Ohio – Charles B. Dycus Sr., age 90, passed away on April 25, 2017.
Born in Akron, he lived in Green most of his life and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. After graduating from Hamel Actual Business College, Charles was employed with Roadway Express and retired as the Director of Revenue Accounting. Upon retirement he and his wife, Ina, spent winters in Bradenton, Fla. until becoming permanent residents many years later.
Preceded in death by his dear wife, Ina (nee Carden); and three sisters, Charles is survived by his children, Linda Hagerty, Charlene Gear, Cheryl (John) Conover and Charles Dycus Jr.; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday, from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312, where funeral service will follow Saturday at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Richard W. Ferris officiating. Entombment with military honors will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
