Charles E. “Chuck” Johnson, age 81, passed away on July 1, 2015.
Born in Akron, he lived most of his life in Suffield. An Army veteran, Chuck retired as a manager from the Acme Grocery Company after working there his entire career. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents; sister; and brother-in-law, he is survived by his son, Charles Johnson Jr.; daughters, Melissa Johnson and Jeni Bulman; and grandchildren, Ashley, Nathan, Ceara, Cheyanne and Jihad.
Family and friends will be received Tuesday, from 2 to 3 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron, Ohio 44312, where funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. Tuesday with Rev. Richard W. Ferris officiating.
