Charles P. "Chuck" Carpenter

Charles P. “Chuck” Carpenter, age 73, passed away on June 26, 2014.

He was born in Richmond, Ohio, and retired from Winter’s Industries. Chuck’s hobbies included coin collecting, antiques, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed reading about the Civil War.

Preceded in death by his brother, Russell Carpenter; mother, Lucy Baker; and grandson, Eric Garrett, he is survived by his wife of 29 years, Courtney Carpenter; son, David Carpenter; daughter, Tammy Carpenter Ballew; grandchildren, Charles Carpenter, David Carpenter Jr., Crystal Carpenter, Katie Carpenter and Paige Ballew; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Amiyah, Laynee, Ty, David, Cameron and Desiree; and sister, Betty Jean Stenger.

The family will receive friends Sunday, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and Monday, from 2 to 3 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44312.
