Carleton R. "Sonny" Hartman

Carleton R. “Sonny” Hartman, age 75, passed away on December 25, 2015. 

Born in Kingwood, W.Va., he was a longtime resident of Mogadore. Mr. Hartman retired from Item and had been employed by Ripley Machine. He enjoyed cars, especially Dodges, and also fishing, walking and spending time with his family. 

Preceded in death by his parents, Carleton and Orva Marie, he is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary; children, Charlotte (Patrick) Bedlion, John (Pamela) Hartman and William (Kelly) Hartman; and grandchildren, Paige (David) Allen, Brian Bedlion, Kaleb Leasure and Lani Hartman. 

Friends and family will be received Monday, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron/Ellet, Ohio 44312. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Father Michael Williamson officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
