Calvin Moore

Calvin Moore Jr., age 86, passed away June 30, 2013.

He was born in Spartanburg, SC and raised his family in the Green/Uniontown areas. Calvin served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was an electrician with Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company for 43 years. He was a 50 year member of Wayfarer Masonic Lodge #789, F. & A.M. and Arlington Memorial Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Marguerite; he is survived by sons, Calvin “Bill”, and Randy Lee (Barbara J.) Moore; daughter, Janie Lea Moore; sisters, Irene Moore and Peggy Malone.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday 11:00 a.m. at Arlington Memorial Baptist Church, 2330 East Market Street, Akron, Ohio 44312 with Don Schaal officiating. Burial at Woods Cemetery where Mogadore V.F.W. Post 8487 will conduct military rites. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale Street (1 block NW of the square of 619 & Cleveland Avenue) Uniontown, Ohio 44685 and at the church Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
