Bonnie J. Newman

Bonnie J Newman (Nana) born March 26th 1948 passed away peacefully at her home September 4th 2024 after a long battle with cancer. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents George and Marie Patterson of Lakemore, her brother Donald Patterson of Lakemore and her grandson Nathan Eicher of Hartville. 

Bonnie was loved by all who had the privilege to know her. She selflessly devoted her life to caring for her family, friends and coworkers. Bonnie was a talented artist and created multitudes of beautiful paintings and crafts. Bonnie retired from LabCorp after many years of service as a courier and later a customer service representative. 

Bonnie loved her family fiercely and is survived by her sister Judy Coble (Dan), her children, Michelle L Waldo (Doug Weese), Tom Alan Newman (Contessa Dauis); grandchildren, Andrew Eicher (Colleen), Kyle Eicher (Tyler), Hannah Stertzbach (Noah), Aiden Ziots, Joey Escolano, Jon Escolano and Jade Escolano; great grandchildren, Ava Neff, Chloe Eicher, Samuel Eicher, Caleb Hines, Callie Eicher, Piper Frebis, Daxx Eicher, Ethan Escalano and Malcolm Stertzbach. 

Michelle and Tom (Alan) would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Lori Coble, Logan Sano and Zach and Shelby Grimmett for loving and helping care for our mother through this difficult time as well as Crossroads hospice for all of the care and comfort they gave our family. 

Graveside services will be held September 14th 2024 at Hillside Memorial Park at 10 o’clock am with celebration of life following at Springfield Fellowship Church, 830 Ewart Rd Akron Ohio 44212.
