Billy M. Wright passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Akron General Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service with his loving family at his side.
Bill was born in Columbus, Nebraska on Sept. 24, 1947 to Merwin and Thelma Gates Wright. He graduated from David City High School as class valedictorian. He received his BSEE from the University of Nebraska and was a member of honorary fraternities, ETA Kappa Nu and Sigma Tau. Bill enjoyed sports, traveling, reading and being with his family. He was a Husker and Buckeye fan and spent Sundays watching the Browns with his daughter, Moe. Bill was a member of the Uniontown Lions and took a special interest in their eyeglass recycling program. His generous spirit had no boundaries. Bill was an amazing husband, father and grandfather who always gave unconditional love and guidance to his children and family. His strong faith gave him much comfort as his disease progressed. His positive attitude never wavered. His wisdom, guidance, sense of humor and love will be greatly missed.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Merlyn Kindler; in-laws, David and Lois Heddleston; and nephew, Tommy Madrin.
