Berniece G. Piercy, 95, of North Canton passed away on November 3, 2021. Born in Akron, Ohio on September 30, 1926 to the late Madison Sr. and Ruth Morris, Berniece loved being with her family, cooking for her grandkids, and playing cards. She was a very talented artist and poet, publishing many poems. Berniece was an amazing woman and will be deeply missed by all.
Berniece is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Piercy; daughter, Sandy Leipold; great-grandson, Ryan Swiger; brother, Madison Morris II; sisters, Pauline Simon and Joan LaBlanc; and sons-in-law, John Brewer and Charles Young.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Cheryl Brewer, Kenneth Piercy, Patricia Young; son-in-law, Phil Liepold; daughter-in-law, Judy Taylor; sisters-in-law, Marie Morris and Janet Frasher; grandchildren, Shelly Hickman, Patricia (Al) Bell, Christina (Bobby) Piercy, Dayna (Glen) Bole, Traci (Shane) Rhodes, John (Karen) Brewer, Gina (Jess) Holloway, Teresa (Jerome) Hill, David (Kelly) Brewer, and Lisa (Steve) Seabeck; 26 great grandchildren; 13 great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews including nephew, Billy LaBlanc; and her faithful companion, Babe, who is going to be lost without her.
The family would like to thank Mike, Lynnetta, and Susie from Traditions Hospice Care for helping mom through her final months.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Berniece’s life on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 beginning at 10 am at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home at 547 Canton Rd. Akron, Ohio 44312. Services will be start at 1 pm with burial to follow at Hillside Memorial Park in Akron, Ohio.
