Bernard B. (Bernie) (Jake) Jacobs

Bernard B. Jacobs, 77, went home to be with the Lord, November 22, 2014.

He was born in Akron and was a life resident of the area. Bernie retired from The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company after 41 years of service and was a member of Springfield Assembly of God. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Frances; son, Donald; daughters, Vicki Hardman and Sharon (Bob) Wyatt; grandchildren, Michael, Ashley, Tara and Lindsey; brother, Fred (Gayle) of Florida; numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Sofia, Tonya, and the staff at Pebble Creek Nursing Home and Harbor Light Hospice for their loving care of Bernie.

The family will receive friends 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron, Ohio 44312, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday with Pastor Joseph Serbin officiating.
